Betty Crocker Cinnamon Apple Crisp Mix
Posted on Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010
I was looking for a quick dessert and spied a box of Betty Crocker Cinnamon Apple Crisp Mix in my kitchen cabinet. The box states that it takes four minutes to make from box to oven. All you need is one tablespoon of water – everything else is in the box.
Making the Apple Crisp
Open a can of apples, which are saturated in a cinnamon-scented filling. Then empty the packet of rolled oats, brown sugar and spices. Add one tablespoon of water to the mix and toss with a fork to create a crumbly topping. Before putting the crisp in the oven for about 30 minutes, sprinkle on the mixture to coat the top of the apples. Place in a 400-degree oven.
In less than five minutes, the scent of cinnamon apples hit the air. I cannot wait to try this out! My only hope is that the crisp topping doesn’t burn.
The Taste and Texture
The crisp topping didn’t burn. After I cooled the dessert, it was relatively easy to transfer to a plate using a cake server. This is a really tasty dessert. At times, it tasted a tad overly sweet, but I was very pleased with the outcome. The crumb topping offered a nice middle between crunchy and chewy. The apples weren’t overly mushy. I really like this dessert and would definitely buy again. I bet it tastes amazing with vanilla ice cream.
The Betty Crocker Cinnamon Apple Crisp Mix makes 6 generous servings that are 270 calories (50 of which are from fat calories – that’s really low!). You also get 2 grams fiber, 1 gram protein, and a bit of thiamin and iron in one serving.

This sounds very good to me. Based on your review, Yona, it’s on my shopping list. We’ll have it this weekend for a tasty dessert treat.
I havent seen this in the stores, but am going to look for it. Thanks for the review!
I like to follow writer’s blogs as I feel I learn from each one. I have a book of Communion devotionals at the printers which I authored, although I don’t consider myself an accomplished writer. I am a follower on your blog and invite you to follow mine as well…and please leave a comment when and if you visit.

Actually, I have not seen the dessert lately, but then again, I was not specifically looking for it. If I come across it, I will let you know.
I found this product last year around this time. I’ve been searching for it since then. Where did you find this? If you come across it again would you let me know also? Thank you.
Wasn’t it tasty!!! It was at my local grocery store, and I haven’t really looked for it specifically since, but I will post if I find it again.
my family and I love this easy dessert….but I can’t find it in the stores anymore. Last year I found it at Sams Club and also Smith’s food stores I cannot find it this year. Im so sad! can anyone help?
Haven’t seen it lately…maybe they will release it as a seasonal product? I hate when companies get you hooked on something and then the next thing you know – it has disappeared from the shelves
