EnviroKidz Organic Crispy Rice Bar

During a trip to one of the best health food stores in Syracuse (Natur-Tyme), I received a recyclable bag filled with samples and goodies. One of the items enclosed was a chocolate EnviroKidz Organic Crispy Rice Bar – a treat that donates 1% of all sales to wildlife causes.
Possessing a harder texture than I would have expected, I’d say the bar is somewhere between a Rice Krispie treat and Little Debbie’s Star Crunch Cosmic Snacks. With no artificial contents or additives, I think it was a passable snack bar. However, I can’t imagine children jumping aboard, as it had a ‘weird’ taste to it. Ironically, it was almost a borderline, chemical taste. I really like the concept and the charitable donations associated with the EnviroKidz Organic Crispy Rice Bar, but it’s not something I would purchase for a kid or myself.
A 6-ounce box sells for around $4 and contains ingredients like organic brown rice flour, organic evaporated cane juice, sea salt, organic molasses, and rice extract. The bar is low in sodium, low in fat, and satisfies the requirements of a gluten-free diet.
Other flavors of EnviroKidz Organic Crispy Rice Bars include: Berry, Peanut Choco Drizzle, Peanut Butter, and Fruity Burst. The company behind the EnviroKidz line of products, which includes cereals and animal cookies, is called Nature’s Path.
