Friendship Friday – What inspired your blog name?

My full blog name is “My Name is Yona Williams…and I Write” – it’s the answer I give people when they ask me who I am and what I do for a living. I’m a freelance writer and also co-own a small online business.
I used to go into a long, drawn-out explanation about what a freelancer does and about the different kinds of writing services that I provide, but decided to just simplify it by just getting down to the point.
Then, depending on who I am speaking to, I will elaborate that I do a lot of research and provide content for small businesses, large companies, and individual website owners. Sometimes, I will refer to my blog as “Yona Writes.” This is my personal space and I thought the blog name was a direct reflection of me.

Oh I think my blog name says it all for me. Menopausal New Mom, that’s exactly what I was when I started my blog. Now I’m just a Menopausal Mom lol!

I always read the names of blogs and think, “What a great name, wish I was witty enough to come up with one like it.”
My blog name came about from using my nickname Lucy and wanting to get the point across that it is an opinion blog, my view of the world!
Years ago, I wrote a manuscript about so called stay-at-home moms as an answer to all the questions I used to get. Much of it did not involve taking care of babies and domestic chores, so I titled it “Beyond the Diapers and Spills.”
The manuscript never became a book, but it DID become a blog!
