ecoistcoinpurseI purchased Ecoist coin purses as presents for my business partners, but when I opened the box to send them off, I learned that one was missing. Panicked, I took several pictures of the box, invoice, and products to prove there was an error in my order. I even drafted a letter. The phone call to Ecoist was effortless. I didn’t have to prove anything. I wasn’t even questioned about the details and was only asked my order number. That was such a relief. The missing coin purse was sent quickly.

Why I Love Ecoist …

  • Exceptional Customer Service – as proven above.
  • Minimal Packaging – Ecoist doesn’t use gigantic boxes to ship their products – unlike some companies that use an incredibly wasteful amount of packaging supplies for the smallest of items. The coin purses sat nice and neat inside small boxes wrapped in a sheet of lime green tissue paper.
  • Sturdy Construction – You’d think purchasing an item made out of “recycled candy wrappers, food packages, and other waste-bound materials” wouldn’t hold up, but the construction is pretty sturdy. I ran my fingernail over the intricate weaving to assess potential wear and tear, and the purse does not give the impression that it will fall apart in the near future. It’s fascinating how it’s put together – it’s like looking at a Rubik’s Cube for the first time. The coin purse also comes with a detachable wristlet with sturdy clasp that could very well double as a holder for a key ring.
  • Fabulous Styles and Designs – From the infamous Coca Cola label and M&M wrappers to Frito Lay chip bags, the designs of Ecoist bags are creative and eye-catching. I am currently in love with this design.

It pays to sign up for newsletters!

I signed up for the Ecoist newsletter and got a heads up on sales and discounted products that helped me fulfill my Ecoist wishlist. I had been pining over their coin purses ever since I saw them. They would go on sale from time to time, but…I cringed at shipping costs that would nearly equal my purchase. Finally, one newsletter advertised free shipping on purchases ecoistbraceletover $50. The coin purses were also on sale.

The offer even included a complimentary bracelet in the deal, which I would like to pass onto one of my readers. It’s an interesting, colorful creation – perfect to spice up a drab outfit or express your bold personality. Plus, if you’re thinking of purchasing an Ecoist bag, you can see firsthand just how strong the material and construction is before buying.

UPDATE: Wanted to share an excerpt from Samantha’s comment, who owns one of these coin purses:  “Just wanted to mention something about these little purses that you can’t see from a picture… They’re actually a bit larger than a typical coin purse, and because of the way they’re made, they protect whatever’s inside – it will not get crushed! For example, a pair of sunglasses in there would be just fine!”
