Green Planet Grocery Store

Today, I finally paid a visit to the Green Planet Grocery Store in Camillus, NY. My brother was nice enough to remember that I wanted to go so he came and picked me up. The selection of organic foods, treats and ingredients are impressive. The store is colorful and cozy. I spent most of my time at the bulk foods section, which was filled with healthy teas, exotic spices, flour, beans, chocolates, baking ingredients, and tons of cereals.
The best thing about bulk foods is that you get to sample a little bit of something without paying full price for something you may not like. It also makes cooking new recipes an easier, more cost-efficient adventure to complete.
I came home with 5 new things to try.
- Tamarind Flavored Pumpkin Seeds – tasty!
- Lightly Salted Hemp Seeds – addicting! Tastes slightly like sunflower seeds, but with a hint of something different.
- Strawberry Hemp Granola – very, very good and bursting with flavor
- Ginger Snap Hemp Granola – eh…lackluster
- Purple Jasmine Rice – looks pretty, but haven’t tried yet
