Kashi TLC Dark Chocolate Coconut

When you’re looking for a satisfying sweet treat that doesn’t damage your waistline, the Kashi TLC Dark Chocolate Coconut bar might be the low-calorie dessert or snack for you. Made with natural fruit and grains, the bar provides 4 grams of fiber (16% of your daily-recommended allowance) and 4 grams of protein – thanks to walnuts and soy grahams. Consisting of 120 calories, the bar contains a blend of rolled whole grains (7 to be exact) – quite visible in appearance.
Upon reading the ingredients, you’ll find dates, barley, buckwheat, and sesame seeds in the mix. A healthy antioxidant boost comes from dark chocolate paired with the taste of sweet coconut. By the way, the texture of the chocolate coating feels like an undercooked brownie.
I find it interesting to compare advertisements to the actual product and Kashi does a little embellishment with the Dark Chocolate Coconut TLC bar. The actual bar has fewer coconut slivers and walnuts than pictured. So…let’s
get down to the nitty gritty, shall we?
Smelling like a chocolate chip granola bar and looking jam-packed with healthiness, I take my first bite. The richness of the dark chocolate is the first thing I notice – borderline overwhelming. However, it’s satisfying and I found myself eating slower to take breaks between the sensations of chocolate. Also a plus in my book: the granola part of the bar lacks the sickeningly sweet, gooey consistency of most sticky granola bars. Overall, it’s a well-balanced treat.

They say dark chocolates are the best chocolates to eat if you’re having a diet. Thanks for sharing this. I hope I can find some in the store.
