Lean Cuisine Ginger Garlic Stir Fry & Chicken
Posted on Friday, June 18th, 2010
The “white meat chicken with snap peas, whole wheat pasta, and ginger garlic sauce” sounds appetizing, and I’m waiting for my Lean Cuisine Ginger Garlic Stir Fry & Chicken meal to finish cooking. Instead of preparing it with the suggested 4 minutes and 30 seconds cooking time, I reduced it to a flat 4 minutes to avoid overcooking.
I think this frozen entree has got to win the “I Look Like the Picture on the Box” award.
The Taste
The first thing that comes to mind is that the meal offers an extremely pleasant garlic sauce – not overly salty. The broccoli is actually crisp with a slight crunch. There are pieces of red peppers and carrots that add color and vitamin C to the entrée. The meal also provides enough pieces of chicken to satisfy the eater.
This Lean Cuisine meal belongs to the Spa Cuisine line of products. So far, I’m starting to see a pattern with the Spa Cuisine options – fresher-tasting vegetables and more flavor.
Overall Thought: When you’re craving Chinese food, opt for this healthier selection. It offers a great deal of flavor and plenty of vitamins at a decent price – perfect for a low-calorie lunch or dinner.
