NBA tickets for $6? Yes, with Stub Hub, I was able to see professional basketball teams, the Orlando Magic and Sacramento Kings play at Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida. What I thought would turn out to be disappointing nosebleed seats, actually offered a decent view of the action.

Believe me – I’ve had nosebleed seats before (at the Milwaukee Bucks stadium) where you’re truly there just to say you were there or because you’re an intense fan. Since it happened to be Andrew Bogut’s debut game, we did walk away with a nifty purple and white towel that I still have to this day. Nonetheless, I was impressed with the cozy size and intimacy of the Orlando Magic stadium.

I purchased my tickets online, but had to wait for confirmation that my transaction was actually complete – a process promised to take no longer than 48 hours. For me, confirmation was nearly instantaneous. You don’t pick up your tickets at the stadium, but instead, a nearby location. For us, it was the Marriott Hotel conveniently situated across the street from Amway Arena.

You must pick up your tickets before the start of the game (or event). Why? Because there are people waiting at a table set up specifically to divvy out tickets. They’re not going to wait forever. They are representatives of Stub Hub. They don’t work at the hotel and they don’t work for the venue.

Fees

While my basketball tickets cost $6 each, the fees were actually higher than the sum total of the tickets. But, that’s OK because I ordered them at the last minute (the day before the game). There’s a fee for last-minute purchases, which varies. Mine was $15. We also paid a $5 commission fee. That’s a grand total of $38 for three people to attend an NBA basketball game at the last minute.

In conclusion, Stub Hub offers an array of tickets, from music concerts to eating competitions. I will definitely use them again for future ticket purchases.
